Third day of my summer program! So much to tell, so little time! I will be sure to write another post detailing my adventures of the past few days!
I was just at the gym and an old lady fainted and I had no idea what to do. I felt so helpless. I gave her water after she opened her eyes and another aide called the nurse. Small things like this remind me why I want to be a doctor! :) I hope everyone drinks plenty of fluids on this hot day!
Just had my first belly dance class with Fitness Haven in New Haven! It was so much fun!! The instructor and the other girls in the class are SO sweet. One of the girls has been learning to belly dance for two years! I need to practice my hip movements and buy a hip scarf! And let me just tell you, I thought belly dancing mostly involved shimming your butt. But it’s all in the abs and the knees!
13 hour work day :/ at least these old people are amusing. One woman asked me where I got my hair done. Lady, it’s called a messy bun. Lmao
Watched ‘Dirty Dancing’ twice in the past 24hrs. LOVE this movie!
Just got back from an awesome weekend in Vermont! So much eating, drinking, and bonding! Perhaps the most important thing that I realized this weekend is that friends are everything. I am so blessed to be surrounded by amazing people who teach me so much about life, love, and happiness.
p.s. I bought another maxi dress! Can’t wait to wear it! <3
Trying to get in shape for my Krav Maga classes! I’m so excited!!! Krav Maga is a self-defense program that incorporates boxing, Judo, wrestling, jiujitsu, Muay Thai, grappling, and Wing Chun. I’ve wanted to take self-defense classes for a long time because the world we live in can unfortunately be a very scary place. I’m going to start the classes once my Bioethics internship is over which gives me two months to get into shape. :)
When a baby elephant sees the sea for the first time. :) Can life be anymore beautiful? My favorite part is when he rolls around in the water.
